Actress Hayden Panettiere, renowned for her performances in “Heroes,” “Nashville,” and the “Scream” series, has passed away at the age of 36. Her death was confirmed by her representative, though the cause has not been disclosed. Her father, Skip Panettiere, remembered her as “an incredible light and a force of nature,” highlighting the love and joy she brought to those around her.
Panettiere’s career in acting began in her childhood, initially through commercials, before she made her film debut as the voice of Dot in “A Bug’s Life.” She then appeared in various films, including “Remember the Titans” and “Tiger Cruise.” However, her breakout role came at the age of 17 when she was cast as Claire Bennet in the television series “Heroes,” which aired from 2006 to 2010 and significantly bolstered her international fame.
Following her success on “Heroes,” Panettiere took on the role of Juliette Barnes, a country music star, in the series “Nashville.” Her portrayal earned her two Golden Globe nominations, and several songs she performed for the series charted on Billboard’s country music charts. Additionally, she portrayed Kirby Reed in “Scream 4” and reprised this role in 2023’s “Scream VI.”
Beyond her professional achievements, Panettiere’s life included personal challenges, which she openly discussed in recent years. She candidly addressed her battles with addiction, recovery, and postpartum depression. Earlier this year, she published a memoir titled “This Is Me: A Reckoning,” reflecting on these experiences. She is survived by her parents and her daughter, Kaya Klitschko.
